About this deal

Yeah? Well, at least I know how to wear it." ―Rex and Kanan Jarrus, referring to stormtrooper armor [28] Phase II was the new and improved armor introduced to the ranks of the clone army as the Clone Wars ground on. PHASE II CLONE TROOPER: So symbolic were they of the times, the galaxy-wide conflict that saw their debut took its name from their ranks: the Clone Wars Star Wars: Build Your Own R2-D2 5 ( Droid Directory: 2-1B-series Medical Droids, Part 1) (Picture only) The gear worn by clone gunners featured helmets with additional noise insulation and reinforced chest armor as safeguards against the intense recoil of the cannons they controlled. Clone ordnance specialists wore armor with bright orange markings, indicating to others the dangerous nature of their role. Apart from this aesthetic distinction, their armor offered no additional protection from explosions. Special ops clone troopers were trained for stealth and detecting enemies at a distance, and were given advanced gear that improved their senses. [2]

Phase II armor was introduced around 21 BBY, and slowly replaced Phase I armor in the months following. Phase II armor was the basis of the stormtrooper armor later worn by the soldiers of Emperor Palpatine's Empire. Another variant of the Phase II armor was the Katarn armor. ARC trooper armor was also modified to be Phase II. The Phase II armor, unlike the Phase I armor, had many distinct variations. In some examples, armor was modified to suit an individual clone, while in others, it was specialized to suit a specific 'breed' of troopers (such as clone paratroopers). It is known that some clones, like Faie and CC-1004, had more than one set of armor. Many Clone trooper commanders, Clone commandos and Shadow Clone Troopers had special attachments on their armor, and allowed some lower ranked officers to wear special attachments as well. Some special attachments included kamas and pauldrons, they could also attach electrobinoculars and sun visors to their helmets. Clone captains would occasionally have a pair of DC-17 hand blasters attached to each side of their kama. Once the Republic Military transitioned to Phase II clone trooper armor, clone gunners were also provided with the upgraded clone trooper armor. One variant of the armor included helmet modifications, as well as a large chest and right shoulder pauldron. Clone majors were equipped with this Phase II clone gunner armor. [7] Additionally, another type of Phase II armor was used by clone gunners, which was a direct upgrade of the previous set of armor. This armor set included the additional helmet insulation equipment, as well as reinforced chest and shoulder armor. [8] Both Phase I and the secondary Phase II armor of the clone gunner were identical to the armor used by Clone Engineers, which were a different specialization of clone troopers that confirmed that Republic vehicles were operating in top condition. [9] Role [ ] Phase II was a more advanced version of clone trooper armor and saw a rise in color customization amongst the clone army's detachments. Many clone officers, such as Commander Cody, had their armor repainted to conform to the Imperial code of uniformity.

Dispatch an elite corp unit of Phase II Clone Troopers to the battles of the Clone Wars with seven new miniatures to add to your Star Wars: Legion collection! I would like to point out that whole parts like the gauntlet, shoe, shin, thigh, bicep, handplate, shoulder and maybe some others only appear once in the template. You can flip over the template and reuse it to make a symmetrical second armor piece. For pieces like the chest, you obviously only need one in the end. Clone troopers often viewed themselves as expendable for the sake of the Republic. They were created for the sole purpose of combat. However, as the war progressed, the Jedi began to realize that clones were living beings with individual personalities, regardless of how they were created. Steven Barnes' 2004 novel, The Cestus Deception, shows how Jedi value the clones as individuals. The book notes, “[It] didn’t matter that they’d all begun life in identical artificial wombs. In millions of tiny ways, their conditioning and experience were different, and that created differences in both performance and personality.”

Clone trooper pilots considered themselves as a breed apart, having been selected early in their development to learn special skills. Their version of Phase I armor featured additional life-support gear and a helmet with improved sensors. Like rank-and-file clones, the clone pilot " Warthog" wore an updated rig—customized to his liking. As the Clone Wars ground on, pilots received improvements to their gear. Stealth clone pilots wore their own unique armor due to their role in flying experimental starships. By the final days of the war, pilots wore new flight gear, featuring open-faced helmets that offered superior visibility during space battles. [2] Jedi Generals wore a modified version of clone armor at the behest of the clone troopers who were concerned for their safety. The Phase II clone trooper pilots' helmets were meant to be a fusion between the Rebel pilots' helmets and the TIE pilots' helmets, both seen in A New Hope. [1]. The helmet of the main Phase II Clone Trooper is a fusion of the Stormtrooper helmet and Phase I clone trooper armor helmet. Phase II clone trooper armor was manufactured by Kaminoan armorsmiths. [1] More advanced than the Phase I clone trooper armor, Phase II armor was capable of supporting more specialized equipment. [10] It was, therefore, more expensive to produce, costing 3,000 credits per suit [2] whereas Phase I cost 2,000 credits. [11] Unlike Phase I, [12] Phase II did not feature an internal life support system, necessitating the use of an external respirator in the absence of breathable atmosphere. [13] As such, Phase II helmets featured an advanced filtration system, and were also designed to be more comfortable to wear than Phase I helmets. [14] PHASE II CLONE TROOPER: Improvements to clone armor and equipment were made throughout the Clone Wars; by its final battles, nearly all clones had switched to improved “Phase II” armor
