The two additions drop as Aldi’s cruelty-free perfumes continue to make waves across social media, with searches for #AldiPerfume hitting a staggering 998.0K views on TikTok alone.
There’s a host of fragrances to choose from in the lineup, each an apparent dupe of a high end product. I love Superdug’s own brand products as they’re so affordable, and each item is cruelty free. I opted for Superdrug’s Layering Lab Body Mist in the scent Paradise, which is meant to be a dupe of Paco Rabanne’s popular fragrance Olympea. I don’t think I’m quite ready to abandon Alien, but Superdrug’s Blossom certainly makes a decent stand in. I couldn’t get my hands on the eau de toilette, but I did get the body mist - and it didn’t disappoint. My go-to perfume is Thierry Mugler’s Alien and has been for the last few years. It’s rare that I’ll deviate from it, but I recently came across a good dupe that’s useful on the days I don’t fancy wearing my good perfume.

Jo Malone's Velvet Rose & Oud has been my go-to evening perfume for the last few years, so when I first came across Aldi's Hotel Collection No. 14 Velvety Rose, I didn't quite know how to feel.
And with so many to choose from on the shelves of your local Boots, Superdrug and supermarkets, where do you even start? The supermarket chain also has a range of perfumes, which look and smell strangely familiar. Aldi's 'Hotel Collection' perfumes have a similar vibe to the Jo Malone fragrance range, but come in at a tiny fraction of the price of course. With that in mind, we decided to put a range of perfume dupes, said to be similar to high street and designer favourites to the test, to see how they held up.
