About this deal
Add all of these things up, and although I can't confirm the source, the 88697195121 is the one to beat.
Yes, there is a code with the album, but the offer for the free download ended on 1/23/09 (it's February 10th 2009, during the writing of this review). If this was a vinyl release I would say side one is excellent, starting with "Alien Days" (check out the nightmarish video on YouTube). The album features some of MGMT's most popular and well-known songs, such as "Electric Feel" and "Kids. The vinyl mix is supposedly "enhanced," however, on certain songs, like "Kids" (last song on Side 1), the bass is pounding away, and it sounds a little distorted, and the vocals are fuzzy-sounding. Gatefold double LPCurrents is the highly anticipated third full-length from the much loved Australian psychedelic rockers and the follow up to 2012's Lonerism.Il examine des sujets sombres en essayant de leur donner un aspect plus clair, d'où ces mélodies torturées, sombres et chaotiques, qui rebondissent sur des rythmes leur donnant un aspect brillant. Overall, the MGMT - Oracular Spectacular LP (RSD Essentials pink vinyl) is a highly sought-after and collectible release for fans of the band and vinyl enthusiasts alike.
While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it is definitely one for those that understood the musicianship and profound expression of the anti-commercial esoteric tracks from their debut album. The overall sound has been treated, not the usual FX pedals of distortion or phasing, but the whole sound has been made to seem as if a radio with interference. Yet, it's the exact same cut and pressing as the MOV/RSD editions of the same year; (literally in the deadwax MOVLP).
