Colour temperature is measured in degrees kelvin and is shown with the letter K. The higher the kelvin rating, the whiter and then bluer the light becomes. A light with a 6500K rating would mimic daylight effects, like a clear blue sky. Compared to the lower end of the kelvin spectrum which is 2700K, which would have a more warmer, orange glow. Switches or Controls? You may have cool white in your kitchen but are having guests around and would prefer to switch to something warmer? You may have a home office with cool white but want to be more relaxed to encourage those creative juices to flow under a warmer setting? Or maybe the kids won't wake up in the mornings so you switch to daylight 6500K and set it to full brightness?

Cable Connections As standard RGB LED tape comes with a 4 core cable with a 4 pin female connector on each end. As they dim in brightness, the colour temperature will remain consistent. If you want something that reduces in colour temperature as it dims in brightness, then that is whole different type of product known as Dim Tone, Dim to Warm and many other variations of this exist. Dim to Warm Lights We have a range of fixed, tiltable, square, and high CRI LED downlights. The best of the bunch are the Ricoman Centorio, Crompton Spectrum and the JCC V50. The Centorio is great for its ease of switching between the colour temperatures. The optional remote control puts it in a league above the rest. Its also the brightest and has a nice wide 90 degree beam angle. Its quite wide though but than can be advantageous if you've already got large ceiling holes. LED strip tape provides a continuous array of light that can be cut down to the size you require. It can also be extended to infinitely longer lengths by integrating additional accessories and LED drivers into the run. Our systems can run just a few Meters to hundreds of Meters of Colour Changeable LED Strip and can be combined with our other Colour Changeable Light sources (shown below). By linking each of the Colour Flexi Drivers with a digital data and ground wire all of the LED lights are kept under the control of the ZEN Controller for synchronised colour changing and Zone control. RGB LED colour changing tape allows you t unleash the full colour spectrum with blues, greens, reds and everything in-between. The downside of RGB is that is doesn't have a true white. When you switch to white, its a really 'off-white shade' with a really high kelvin rating of around 7000K, difficult for task lighting like chopping food or reading cook books. Although this design isn't always perfect as they can be changed accidentally especially by those pesky kids! Advantages
