About this deal

But as she gets to know Levan , Eden begins to wonder if he might be different – until she discovers he’s not quite what he seems. Eden is wary of love and although Levan is extremely good looking and charismatic, she needs to keep him at arms length. Most of the characters had secrets that they didn't want the others to find out, or were afraid of revealing. Learning about how to roast coffee beans was fascinating and I swear I could smell the coffee whilst reading. Of course, as with all Phillipa’s books, there are some wonderful characters, and they add depth to the story.

When Eden steps out of her beautiful coastal cottage to find a Speedo-wearing, suntanned stranger doing yoga in next door's garden, she is immediately on her guard.A close knit family lives near a lighthouse in Cornwall; very idealic and gorgeous area where any chances don't go unnoticed. A smashing slice of life in a seaside town, the perfect place to draw a line in the sand and for new beginnings.

I enjoyed this book, the characters are great except for Simon, I loved Eden, Morwenna, Courtney, Dion, and Levan. I loved characters, the three women from different generations, who’ve been there for each other through the good times and bad. Built like a Greek god watching/spying on him through the fence might be sneaky but, definitely worth it. I realized that I need to continue only when I had a chuck of time, since I knew it would be difficult to stop! This was no different and I am delighted to say that I learned about coffee roasting, lighthouse keeping, and surveillance by the intelligence services.

As always, this was well written with wonderful characters that flowed from the page but the unique setting of the lighthouse made it for me and I wish I could visit, magnificent! Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). I loved the way that family relationships are explored, with Levan feeling a great affinity to Eden's lovely family.Having read a number of this authors other books I was delighted to receive an ARC of this novel and looked forward to reading it but I'm sad to say I was disappointed.

Having lunch with her granny after a morning of roasting beans they notice a man (Levan) in his speedos, on his head , in the garden next door. The descriptions of the cottages and the lighthouse are so vivid that you can really picture what Eden is seeing as she goes to work and back home to the cottages. Iris for sure was my favourite character, especially the scene with Eden, Levan, and Simon, in her cottage. The characterisation is so in-depth, and the family connections, so solid - despite the secrets held deeply within.Set in a beautiful location, based around a lighthouse, this book will have you dreaming of the coastline of Cornwall. Centered around 3 generations of strong women- Iris, Sally, and Eden, and the family secrets that they struggle with.
