About this deal

The upper midrange of the LetShuoer S12 Pro is pretty highlighted and dynamic, while it shows a slightly smoother overall response in this are compared to the original S12. The S12 PRO has the upper hand when it comes to dynamic contrast and bass impact while soundstage is a draw, the P1 MAX is somewhat narrower and less open but it has a sharper imaging and more accurate positioning.

The sleeve slips off in a match box style to reveal a chunky inner box, the lid lifts off to a top layer which reveals the IEMs, and a clear plastic box containing foam tips. I would say bass is fairly tight and has decent definition overall with almost a BA like speed but it is that planar transient qualities that prove to be not as realistic as a well vented dynamic when it comes to bass. Female vocals like Adel, Diana Krall or Edith Piaf are reproduced in a pretty lively, emotional and detailed way. Explore the various tips to see what suits your preference, as tips are as personal as shoes due to our different ear anatomies. I really appreciate that LETSHUOER incorporated not two but three different types of ear tips in the packaging.Regarding the latter, there’s some controversy about whether the drivers used in the Celest could be classified as legitimate planars, but that’s a tale for another time. The only issue with its design is that it has a relatively shorter nozzle that will not be perfect for all ears shapes and sizes. The S12 PRO is resolving, crystal clear and transparent in the mid-range with a natural voicing that is combined with the already excellent bass performance to make for an immersive and realistic listening experience perfectly suitable for classical music and not only. It's not that their monocrystalline silver plated cable is of a bad quality, on the contrary it is a very nice included cable and even better with modularity.

g. Mozart symphonies), but when the piece becomes too dense down there it becomes bloated and too rumbly to spot any nuances (technical death metal, even well recorded). Made of brushed aluminum, that body shall easily withstand the test of time, even in harsh conditions like the bottom of a backpack. HiFiMAN HE-400SE - I know this comparison makes little sense, but it's my main desktop setup (with the Zen Stack), so at least I can compare the technical aspects. The Timeless have a tinge better resolution, imaging, and instrument separation but suffer from a pronounced lack of soundstage depth (though they have good soundstage width). I noticed the S12 pro has some extra treble tuning and while it is balanced fairly well the treble extension of the S12 pro means you get a full treble end with not much roll off.
