About this deal

Happy Salmon is one of those quirky games where it’s going to take you longer to read this review than it would to just play a game of it – though, I’m going to try to get through the game as quickly as possible.

During the initial wave of hype I wrote the game off as a gimmick way below my serious game collection, and then I started needing lighter games for more players.

The cards are more like plastic and incredibly durable which is great as you will be slinging them around in a bid to be the quickest. If there are more than two players who yell the same action, only the two players who actually do the action together are successful at the action. To entertain kids and adult alike, Happy Salmon should be carried in your bag for almost all occasions.

The game also come in a wonderfully quirky salmon carry bag which make it perfect for travelling with! I don’t want to chuckle in the same way while playing Le Harve, there is room for all types of games. Since up to 6 people can play, it’s a great game to take along with you get together with extended family as well. Our promise to you - you can’t lose – join today and if you receive less points back from purchases than the fee you have paid for your membership for 12 months, we will give you the difference back in points.Happy Salmon is a cute little game, contained on a deck of cards, and cleverly packaged in a neoprene Salmon-shaped pouch. Also perfect for convincing friends who claim they “don’t like playing games” that they actually love them. It’s a credit limit that’s sits alongside your PayPal account which you can use for your online purchases.

At the start of the game, all players flip their stack over so that they can see the top face up card. Actions include the classic "High 5", the unifying "Pound It", the frantic "Switcheroo", and the delightful and bizarre "Happy Salmon". Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you. That never happens long in Pit, in my experience, which is why I’d much rather play that and forego the silly slapping (that I otherwise dig). I don't mind that at all, in fact I particularly love that, but there's something really nice about a game that rewards the winner for essentially being the best at working together with their opponents.Take all the excitement of Happy Salmon, add funky dance moves, pack it in a disco chicken sporting a cool pair of shades and you’ve got.

The recently release of the Blue Happy Salmon effectively ups the player count to 12 and these games are a delightful manic medley of mayhem. After starting his career writing about music, films and video games for various places, Matt spent many years as a technology, PC and video game journalist before writing about tabletop games as the editor of Tabletop Gaming magazine. After moving a table outside (so we wouldn't bother the others), we played six games in ten minutes and it was the most fun I had all evening. Each player begins the game with a deck of 12 cards, divided into four sets of three matching cards: High Five, Fish Bump, Switch It Up and the Happy Salmon itself.

Happy Salmon, one of the greatest party games ever made - not just my subjective opinion, cold hard fact - has resurfaced with a new remake from the makers of Exploding Kittens. Over time and several plays, however, Happy Salmon felt more and more that the game was playing itself.
