About this deal

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, in fact I read the entire novel in one sitting because it was just so lovely being back with Jenny Colgan’s writing. This leaves room for greedy, meddling heirs who put profits above pastries, forcing Polly to grapple with how to maintain both her job and her integrity. This is the 30th book, but considering Alex has survived "Kill Alex Cross" before, chances are he survives this one. Because at my school for advanced and gifted children I took a pounding on a regular basis by blacks, Chinese, Asians, Caucasians, Hispanics, Arabs, Jews, Catholics and Zoroastrians.

However, I pludged into this story because of two reasons: firstly, I wanted to read something about Christmas, secondly, the setting of this book is Cornwall, the place where I spent an amazing week with my British friend in summer 2019.By the time you'd made it through three tangents you'd forgotten what the point of the start of the sentence even was. talat, en del av mig undrar varför i hela friden har jag inte läst någon av Jenny Colgan böcker innan?

Summer at Little Beach Street Bakery - Goodreads

It's often the blurbs that convince me to read a book, and it was the last paragraph of the above one that especially captured my attention. I love the mix of seriousness and humor in her books and several times did I smile as I read this book. A goodreads friend gave me a heads up on this factor beforehand and thankfully I was prepared so it wasn't too distracting but it was obvious and a bit confusing to be honest. It was a real challenge to finish the book at all, and I found myself skimming chunks of it towards the end.But Ridge can’t hide his feelings for Sydney long—and they face their dilemma with refreshing emotional honesty.

Colgan has a wide fan base who find her light novels as warm and delicious as the sweets in her books. In the bestselling tradition of Jojo Moyes and Jennifer Weiner, Jenny Colgan's moving, funny, and unforgettable novel tells the story of a heartbroken young woman who turns a new page in her life . She finds out after the fact that Ridge already has a long-distance girlfriend, Maggie—and that he's deaf. However, it's not all smile and laughter, and since I have I read book three did I know that I should not become too attached to a person that is not longer in the story after this book.

Little Beach Street Bakery (4 book series) Kindle Edition

Neee, das Buch hat mir so ÜBERHAUPT nicht gefallen, obwohl so, so viele diese Reihe ja zu lieben scheinen. Despite the better option right in front of her, an unexpected complication forces Lily to cut ties with Atlas, confront Ryle, and try to end the cycle of abuse before it’s too late. latest tackles the difficult subject of domestic violence with romantic tenderness and emotional heft. They meet on a rooftop in Boston on the night Ryle loses a patient and Lily attends her abusive father’s funeral. While I’m not a fan of love triangles and especially squares in general, what really disappointed me with this one in particular was the lack of chemistry between Polly and any of the men. Overall, this is never going to win the Pulitzer for literature or anything but I enjoyed it quite a bit and will be reading the sequel. I especially loved that they had their own individual voices and issues in their lives, and that some of these were explored too.
