Just as heavy as the previous song, but with a slower pace, it is sure to get heads banging almost instantly. The Deluxe Edition is definitely the more complete experience since it boosts the running time from 41 minutes to 52. In honour of the Grammy win, it only seems right to make this review on their most recent release, The Strange Case Of…, released in April of 2012, which showed the band expand on their already tremendous sound.
The song "Freak Like Me" was the band's first single to reach number one on the Mainstream Rock chart. I Miss The Misery” was a guaranteed radio hit, and in this case, this is not a derogatory comment; Lzzy’s performance is exceptional and truly exciting. Regardless of where it was heard, it’s great that this song got some exposure and hopefully it’ll help to get them more. It seems a strange decision to put three mellow songs in a row; “Beautiful With You”, “In Your Room”, “Break In”, but they’re all great tracks.Halestorm’s The Strange Case of Halestorm album is repressed on a single clear LP and is a one-time pressing. So suddenly this predicament with having this record that had a split personality was about having a split personality.
The ballads are perfectly nice as rock ballads, though some of them (eg here's to us) sound like melodies I have heard before. I Miss The Misery’ and ‘Freak Like Me’ continue the bands rocking ways complete with ‘Oh oh ohs’, ‘Heys!Hyde,” the singer wears the monster’s mask, and the song becomes a strong candidate for the album’s most apotheotic moment.
